Как редактировать реестр сборки
1. Вытащить из iso-шки папку: \I386\SYSTEM32\CONFIG
2. Запустить regedit
3. Встать на HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
4. Меню: Файл -> Загрузить куст
5. Выбрать файл DEFAULТ из сохраненной папки CONFIG, задать имя раздела "123"
6. Снова меню: Файл -> Загрузить куст
7. Выбрать файл SOFTWARE из сохраненной папки CONFIG, задать имя раздела "456"
8. Добавить в HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\123\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run ярлыки для автозагрузки
9. Добавить в HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\456\Sherpya\XPEinit\Desktop ярлыки для рабочего стола
10. Встать на "123", меню: Файл -> Выгрузить куст, встать на "456", меню: Файл -> Выгрузить куст
11. Записать папку CONFIG обратно на сборку

Как с LiveCD увидеть ресурсы XP
Начиная с XPsp2, по умолчанию запрещен анонимный доступ к именованным каналам. Если загрузиться со сборки, на рамдиске будет лежать файлик winpe-xpsp2-fix.reg. Его можно запускать на машинах с XPsp2 для снятия этой проблемы. Либо самому ручками в политиках поковыряться:
Администрирование > Локальная политика безопасности > Локальные политики > Параметры безопасности > Сетевой доступ: разрешать анонимный доступ к именованным каналам > Добавить параметр - srvsvc

Как запустить установку винды из LiveCD
Записать дистрибутив винды на флешку/usb-hdd/dvd и, загрузившись с LiveCD, запустить команду:
X:\i386\winnt32.exe /syspart:C: /tempdrive:C: /makelocalsource
где X:\i386 - путь к каталогу с дистрибутивом, а C: - диск, куда ставим.
Инсталляция закончится, перезагружаемся с харда и доставляем дальше.

Как настроить сборку «под себя»
Изменить разрешение экрана по умолчанию, подключить самые разные твики, установить свои иконки и т.д. можно с помощью твикера от AZJIO.

Как обновлять антивирусы
ВСЕ антивирусы на сборке имеют возможность обновлять свои базы и сохранять их на флешках и usb-hdd.
- AVIRA - Работает с RAM-диска. Обновляет из инета как базы, так и сканирующий и лечащий модули. Есть возможность сохранения на флешке обновленных баз.
Всё авирино барахло хранится в antivir.exe - это sfx архив, при желании можно самим обновлять содержимое. Лицензия - free.
- AVZ - Тоже работает с RAM-диска (иначе, при запуске с CD, он не умеет показывать возраст баз). Обновляет базы из инета. Есть возможность сохранения обновленных баз на носителе. Лицензия - free.
- DRWEB - Работает как с носителя, так и с RAM-диска. Обновляется из инета через wget. Есть возможность обновления баз на RAM-диске и на носителе, доступном для записи. Лицензионный файл присутствует.
- TROJANREMOVER - Работает с RAM-диска, обновляется из инета. Всё в одном файле TR.exe - sfx архив, можно обновлять, можно собирать свой. Умеет сохранять обновления на флешке. Лицензия - ограничение 30 дней (для сборки это ограничение бессмысленно).
- АНТИВИРУС КАСПЕРСКОГО 2009 - Работает с носителя, подключает базы как с носителя, так и с RAM-диска. Обновляет базы на RAM-диске из инета или из локального комплекта обновлений. Обновлённые базы кладёт сюда: "B:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Lab\Avp8" (только каталоги Bases, Data и Dskm). Есть возможность обновленные базы скопировать на флешку.
Создать свой локальный комплект обновлений довольно просто с помощью свободно распространяемой утилиты Updater.exe. Вам понадобятся базы для 8-ой версии.

Почему мой антивирус ругается на файлы из сборки
Очень часто скрипты, скомпилированные на AutoIt, QBFC, ExeScript и т.п., ошибочно распознаются антивирусами как зловредный код. Файлы, сжатые UPX и 7z для экономии места, также не вызывают восторга у антивирусов. Кроме того, на сборке есть софт для подбора и сброса паролей, на который просто обязан ругаться каждый уважающий себя антивирус.

Как загрузиться без SCSI/SATA/RAID драйверов
Иногда бывает полезно загрузиться без драйверов для SCSI/SATA/RAID адаптеров (если обычная загрузка сборки не проходит гладко). Такая возможность в сборках предусмотрена – загружайтесь через дополнительный загрузчик Setuplns.bin. В меню GRUB это будет выглядеть так:

Как добавить на флешку консоль восстановления XP
Из папки i386 дистрибутива винды надо выполнить:
winnt32.exe /cmdcons
В корне диска появятся папка cmdcons и загрузчик cmldr. Папку cmdcons надо записать на флешку и добавить в меню grub:

Как установить модем (инструкция от AZJIO)
Последовательность действий:
- драйвера модема должны быть подключены до подъёма сети
- включить сеть
- создать подключение, обязательно после подъёма сети
Поиск драйвера: В системе с установленным модемом в диспетчере устройств в свойствах драйвера на вкладке "Сведения" смотрим код устройства PCI\VEN_..., далее в файлах C:\Windows\inf\*.inf ищем этот код, в найденном файле в секции [SourceDisksFiles] находим список необходимых файлов и копируем их в LiveCD согласно:
*.inf в папку i386\inf *.dll в папку i386\system32 *.sys в папку i386\system32\drivers
При создании подключения появляется файл AllUsersProfile\Application Data\Microsoft\Network\Connections\Pbk\rasphone.pbk. Делаем ярлык соединения на рабочий стол и добавляем ярлык и rasphone.pbk в sfx-архив, который можно стартовать после подъёма сети и далее с ярлыка на рабочем столе выполнить подключение. Файл rasphone.pbk - текстовый файл настроек соединения.

Как запустить «CureIt!»
CureIt! можно запускать с любого носителя, и систему не будет бросать в синьку (BSoD), если запускать его без использования драйвера защиты (в среде WinPE он и ни к чему), с распаковкой:

Добавление своих программ
В сборку включена утилита sh.exe (от NIKZZZZ), предназначенная для создания ярлыков и регистрации программ, находящихся на любых внешних носителях (Usb, Cd, NetWork). Программа сканирует подключенные устройства и создает или удаляет ярлыки, регистрирует или отменяет регистрацию программ, находящиеся в указанных каталогах на основе link файлов.
