Suburban
Timebombs is the title of the second album by Roses Kings Castles,
following their first, self-titled release, in 2008. The album was
released on 8th November 2010, with the preceding single, One Born Every
Minute released in the first week of May(though it was originally
planned for release the first week of April).
Prior to the album
release, eight demo songs (Some Things Are Better Left Unsaid, Subleties
Of Love, Sense Bomb, I Killed You, In Time, I Can't Stand, To Work You
Have To Pay and Inner Love, Outer Space) labeled as "Second album demos"
were uploaded online in February 2010. Four of these appeared on the
final tracklist for the album.
According to Ficek, the album has a
much "bigger" sound than Roses Kings Castles debut. In an interview in
November 2010, he stated the album "was written during a slightly
troublesome time so it may have been influenced by that."
